BedsRus Dream Big Grant

At BedsRus, we’ve been helping Kiwis dream big for over 30 years.

Underpinned by our goal to be the market-leading bed specialists, and in close partnership with one of New Zealand’s most trusted names, Sleepyhead, we continue our commitment to deliver Kiwis their best possible sleep.

Our Pledge

Being the experts in our field comes with a great responsibility; to ensure we always strive to live our vision and foster positive change, ensuring we always lead by example.

This is realised through our nation-leading brand and our work in supporting both our customers and communities. Our pledge to make a difference commits to foster economic and societal value through contribution of resource, donation and awareness partnerships.

Shooting for the Moon

Our 30 year legacy is built on helping Kiwis achieve bigger and better dreams… and we’re continuing to find ways to shoot for the moon.

The BedsRus Dream Big Grant offers individuals some financial support to help them achieve their own dreams. At BedsRus, we believe chasing dreams is important now more than ever, as even some of our biggest dreamers may find fulfilling their dreams difficult to come by, while we face our current challenges.

Calling All Aspirers

The BedsRus Dream Big Grant invites Aotearoa’s exceptional aspirers to apply for one of three $1,000 grants, available annually.

Entries are now closed for the BedsRus Dream Big Grant 2022.  Stay posted for 2023.

Your biggest dreams, are ours too.

Terms and conditions apply.

As a Kiwi owned and operated business, BedsRus itself is a locally grown success story. We’re committed to fostering many more locally grown success stories, and are humbled to assist others in doing so through our Dream Big Grant.

  • If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, have a passion project that you wish to take to the next level or you need a little help turning an idea into a reality, keep an eye out for the return of the BedsRus Dream Big Grant in November 2022.

In the meantime, enjoy with us as we check in with our very deserving 2021 BedsRus Dream Big Grant recipients to find out what they've been up to.

  • Kristyl Neho

Kristyl used the Dream Big Grant to fund her Confident Me programme through her business, Maia Dreams. Confident Me is an early intervention programme that equips students with life strategies and coping tools. Part of the funds that Kristyl received were used to purchase camera equipment to record school performances that are run as part of the Confident Me programme. The remainder of the funds were used to pay a facilitator of the programme. Amazing work Kristyl, we can't wait to see what you dream of next!

  • Paaka Edwards

The 2021 Dream Big Grant contributed towards Paaka Edwards' dream of creating an App that can teach people how to pronounce Māori place names correctly and improve the understanding of Māori geographical references. Paaka used the funds he received to purchase equipment to record and mix vocals for the audio and video elements of the App. This App is still in development, with Paaka hoping to release it during Māori Language Week 2022. We are so proud of you Paaka and can't wait to see your dream come to life!

  • Joshua McKenzie-Brown

BedsRus Dream Big Grant has helped Joshua McKenzie-Brown to support Spectrum Care, an organisation that supports people with intellectual difficulties. Spectrum Care offers a variety of skill-based programmes in their day centres, one of which is Easy Beats - where participants have the opportunity to create their own music using a range of technology and instruments in a professional studio-like setting. Joshua used his funds to purchase several sets of high- quality headphones for Easy Beats. Awesome work Joshua - keep up the amazing work!
