As another month rolls by here at BedsRus, we thought we’d do something a little different. This isn’t just another promo for BedsRus, or an announcement about our brand-new state-of-the-art mattresses, or our top 10 list of reasons why you need to change your pillow (although just in case you needed it, here’s a subtle reminder). And sure, it’s hard to believe anything you read on the internet these days, but this month, we’re here to level with you, Kiwi to Kiwi.
At BedsRus, we’re all about you. And not just the collective you that might happen to stumble across this article thinking surely they can’t be talking about me? But we are. Yep. You. At BedsRus HQ we thought it was time to look at things a little differently. Do some self-reflection, evolve as they say. Breathe out, change pace, and remind ourselves to take in the moments that matter.
But wait, don’t you like, sell beds? What moments can anyone possibly have when they’re sleeping? Great point. Like a true Kiwi you’re here to ask the hard-hitting questions, but also like a true Kiwi we’re going to give it to you straight.
We’re on a mission to help Kiwis celebrate the moments that matter. The tiny moments too, not just the big ones. Because all of those tiny moments, that brilliant collage of minutes stitched together is the magic in every day, it is what’s most important. To sit in that beautiful space where dreams can really begin.
But how do you find the magic, and how do you make the most of those moments? As our lives get busier and busier, every suggestion to simply ‘be in the moment’ sounds a bit… out of touch, to say the least. There are meetings to get to, emails to reply, kids to pick up, furbabies to feed and a life to live. We know better than anyone that you’re trying your best to keep up with the pace you’ve set, eating right, exercising, and downloading every meditation app ever created, but there’s still… something missing?
Ah yes… Sleep.
It’s the key to our wellbeing, and one of the biggest factors to consider if we’re feeling a little… off. But unfortunately, it’s often the first thing to fall by the wayside when life gets hectic. Whether you’re staying up late answering emails, getting a jump on the next day, or so wired from life that ‘one more episode’ turns into an entire series, catching the shut-eye we’ve been craving can be an uphill battle.
Your bedroom is your haven, your sanctuary, your safe space away from the wild that is the world. And that bed of yours? It’s at the centre of all of those little moments ripped straight from your favourite post on your most used socials. Slow Sunday mornings, those first late-night conversations full of lines like ‘I’ve never told anyone this before’ and four paws and puppy snores. Your bed has been your office, your dining table, your gold class movie ticket, your crash mat, your fort, and of course… your place to rest. Your place to relax, dream, be and all of the other things that sound great when read in a dreamy baritone.
All the feels aside, what are we really trying to say? Without a good night’s sleep, who’s got the energy to carve out a minute, let alone create treasured moments? But it’s a fact: there is a little magic in every day if we take the time to look. At BedsRus we’re here to help; we know, that you know, that we’re the brand you turn to when you’re looking for a new mattress or a brand new bed, or want to chat with a Kiwi about something that matters most, your sleep. Because at the end of the day, good dreams only exist with great sleep.
